Example: Economy

Economics function poorly when controlled by power logic because the advantages of rule-based coordination of free action are difficult or impossible to utilize – see the economic collapse of the communist bloc in the 1980s.

In contrast, China, which has become extremely successful in the global economy, has advocated for maintaining and protecting global economic rules. However, China effectively combines its power potential with rule-based practices, thereby undermining global rule-based governance in the long run.
