THE AGGRESSIVE VICTIM ROLE


This discussion paper presents the concept of the aggressive victim role and introduces it into social science discourse for the first time. Using civility theory as an analytical framework, it examines how actors who see themselves as victims employ aggressive behavior to assert power or seek revenge. Case studies from the incel subculture and the woke movement illustrate the relevance of this concept to political dynamics and further research.

Civility analysis - On the implementation of civility theory in analytical designs.

"Civility, understood from a civility-theoretical perspective, is mutual respect in the awareness of shared responsibility. Within this consciously normative orientation, society and politics can be analyzed reflectively. In the following, I will outline some sub-concepts and perspectives under the headings: levels of civility, comparative civility analysis, comparison of party programs, civility index, explanatory civility analysis, civility-theoretical process analysis, and conflict analysis according to civility criteria."
